THE AUTHOR
Meet Jenet Langjahr, a highly respected medical professional who’s explored the world, but her heart has always been in the Antelope Valley, a desert community just northeast of Los Angeles.
Growing up in Leona Valley, a charming rural spot, Jenet discovered her passion for storytelling. She learned from her mother and sisters to share family tales, and she kept that tradition alive with her own children.
Jenet is married to Stephen Langjahr, a retired college professor. They have two children and one grandson. In her free time, she’s a licensed hot-air balloon pilot and is accomplished in playing a variety of musical instruments. She also enjoys gardening, painting, and photography.
Jenet teamed up with her mother to form a video production company in the 1980s. Together, they created television commercials, which led to a contract with NASA, contributing to the filming of space shuttle landings at Edwards Air Force Base. They expanded their business to educational films, producing their most popular video, “Newborn Care: Step-by-Step,” a mother’s guide to baby care.
